Field practice in the northern part of the Trascău Mountains

With our students we were on a field practice in the northern part of the Trascău Mountains within the framework of protected areas and on the topic of geomorphology.

Starting from Lunca Arieșului passing through the forecourt of the Bedeleu Mountains, we reached the Sipote waterfall, which falls through the travertino. From here we climbed up to the lookout of Bedeleu Masives (1180 m) and the limestone arch of the Poarta Zmeilor (Dragon Gate).
