Mrs. Mócsy Ildikó received the Herman Ottó Medallion for her key role in founding the Environmental Science Departament and for her professional merits.
The workshop entitled Mining process and its environmental issues in the „Golden Quadrate” started with the presentations of three geologists (Wanek Ferenc, Forray Ferenc and Márton István), and of the invited guest from the Green Transylvania Association (Kovács Csongor, the president of the association). At the end of the conference we visited Roşia Montana mining town and the galleries of the old Roman mine.
