We had a guest from the University of Pécs, Hungary
In the period of 26–30 September, Tímea Judit Pernyeszi, PhD, assistant professor from the University of Pécs, Hungary, visited us within the confines of the Erasmus Programme for teachers.
Tímea Judit Pernyeszi, PhD held a lecture entitled “The environmental chemistry of chemical elements”. She focused specifically on the chemical behavior of organic and inorganic pollutants, their processes of transport, distribution and accumulation, as well as on the thermodynamic and kinetic laws which govern these processes. She described the chemical phenomena taking place on the biochemical and geochemical interfaces, paying attention to the possible interactions between natural soil components, microorganisms and pollutants.
