Our students at Malta

Two newly graduated students are having work experience in Malta, in Bahar ic-Caghaq city.

Attila Ambrus (MSc graduate) and Tímea Székely (BSc graduate) are friends for many years. They applied for Erasmus+ work experience scholarship. From many institutes and zoo parks which they contacted all over the European Union, they chose the Mediterraneo Marine Park (https://mediterraneopark.com/the-park/) in Malta.

It was a great excitement when both obtained the scholarship for four months. Although every administrative requirement was done, their travel was severely questioned because of the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. Following the graduation, in the middle of July, they finally arrived to the destination as Malta decided to let in the country the Romanian citizens.

Now they are working as volunteers in the park: Attila deals with reptiles and birds (especially parrots) and Timi takes care of marine mammals, like common bottlenose dolphins and Patagonian sea lions.
