13th Carpathian Basin Conference for Environmental Science

The 13th Carpathian Basin Conference for Environmental Science was held between the 5th and 8th of April 2017 in Cluj-Napoca. Aproximately one hundred participants attented the Conference, organized by the Environmental Science Department of the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania.

Tonk Márton, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Arts, as well as Urák István, PhD, chair of the Conference and Mócsy Ildikó, PhD, honorary chair of the Conference, welcomed the participants at the opening ceremony. The welcome speeches were followed by plenary presentations. During the following two days, aproximately 80 oral presentations were held in twelve sessions, together with the presentation of 20 posters. The Conference ended with a gala dinner and an excursion the next day, when a smaller group visited the Dragons¢ Garden and the Vasile Fati Botanical Garden in Jibou.

We wish to thank all, who contributed to the successful organization of the Conference, as well as to participants for their interest and high-performing research, which ensures the continuation of the Conference.

Opening ceremony of the new academic year

The academic year 2024-2025 will get started at an opening cermony that will take place on 17th September, 11 a.m., at the Hunyadi Mátyás hall of the Faculty of Sciences and Arts (Calea Turzii Nr. 4).
