Trip at Sănduleşti

In the middle of October (the 16-18th) a second field trip of our Departament was organized at Sănduleşti.

Almost all students and professors were present at the event. Groups, each composed of five students, participated at a contest. A tour in the Cheile Turzii Natural Rezervation gave the opportunity to the students to collect minerals and plants, to carry out water analyses, and to climb on the limestone platform from the Hesdat River (a difference in altitude of 250 m) and finally to return to Sănduleşti. Each group exhibited excellent performance at the scientific competition, which took place after a rich goulash supper. By popular request the closing program was a visit to the salt mine at Turda.
